This styled photo shoot was the brainchild of Hitched AF, expertly executed by some of our favorite Denver wedding vendors. We were inspired by and fully embraced the iconic quirkiness of the Mercury Cafe, a Denver landmark and music venue that served as the backdrop for the shoot.
While not a real wedding, our models Lance & Fecha are a real couple, and we designed this shoot to showcase how an unconventional venue can be used to create a vibrant, fun, and one-of-a-kind celebration of love.
Indy Pop Photo created intentional moments for our couple to react and interact, giving them space to be their silly and authentic selves. As a result, the photos are full of genuine smiles, joyful laughter, and intimate moments that are features of every Hitched AF wedding.
We also wanted to showcase fun ways to personalize your unconventional celebration, including ditching traditional wedding attire for a giant lavender tulle gown and turquoise suit and a peanut butter and jelly unity ceremony.
We went all-in on the 80s rock theme, including colorfully painted cassette tapes as place cards, an outrageously awesome hand-painted cake, and a themed cocktail menu including “Girls Just Wanna Have Rum,” “Papa Don’t Peach,” “Hit Me With Your Best Shot (of Bourbon),” and “If I Could Turn Back Thyme.”
