With Hitched AF, the wedding planning process feels like a fun adventure with a quirky-as-hell guide.
Obviously Hitched AF isn’t your average Colorado wedding planner. We don’t subscribe to the “shoulds” that dominate the wedding industry, and we’ll never try to shove you into an ill-fitting box.
Instead, we get to know what makes you tick, we listen to your vision without judgment, we support your choices, and we ensure your day is an authentic reflection of your love story.
We’ve done our job if you are surrounded by your favorite people, having a blast, and everyone says “this is SO THEM!”

The need for validation, especially when your vision challenges the status quo.
Anxious about the big day, hoping everything goes smoothly and your guests have a blast.
Pressure to conform, even when your hearts say otherwise.
Lost in the forest of endless choices, seeking clarity amidst the chaos of planning.
Boxed in by traditional wedding norms, longing for a celebration that feels like you.
I know what it’s like to feel:
I’ve been planning events all my life, and not too long ago I was exactly where you are right now - planning my own wedding with no idea where to start. Nick and I had a quirky vision for our celebration, but we found ourselves feeling pressured to conform to what others told us our wedding “should” be. The traditional wedding didn’t feel authentic to us, so we held strong to our vision and did things our way, and the result was our favorite day ever with our favorite people in the world. And that’s what I want for you!
I believe weddings are an (often missed) opportunity to celebrate what makes you “weird” or unique - what makes you YOU!
Hi friend! I’m Jen, the owner and lead planner at Hitched AF. You can think of me as your wedding fairy godmother, but instead of a magic wand I have a killer planning system and a lot of patience, tenacity, and connections. And I have a few tricks up my sleeve when it comes to planning an unconventional celebration.
At Hitched AF, we believe the most interesting thing you can be is yourself. Our quirks, passions, and stories are what make us truly stand out, and we think those are the things worth celebrating, especially on a day as epic as your wedding. We won’t attempt to mold you into a one-size-fits-all template, because that would be boring, and we don’t do boring. Instead, like a magic mirror (ball) we craft celebrations that genuinely reflect your love story, ensure that every moment resonates deeply, and consistently remind you that you are the fairest of them all.

It’s really simple - don’t be an asshole. Kindness, integrity, and respect are the cornerstones of Hitched AF’s ethos. In a world full of fleeting transactions, we prioritize genuine human connections. Planning an authentic wedding celebration is intimate and deeply personal, and we will always approach it with honesty and care. Whether it’s transparent communication with our clients or building trusting relationships with our vendors, we believe in doing right by people. The result is that our clients don’t just feel like customers, but valued members of the Hitched AF community.

Love, in its purest form, knows no boundaries. It transcends gender, race, religion, and every conceivable divide. At Hitched AF, this powerful truth is a guiding principle. We are a queer affirming, BIPOC inclusive, safe and loving space. We create an environment where every love story, no matter its origin, is celebrated with equal excitement and dedication. We strive to be a beacon of inclusivity in the wedding industry, and we’ll challenge heteronormativity and gender roles every chance we get. Hatred and bigotry are not welcome here - never have been, never will be.

Working with Jen is a DREAM. The only thing better than my wedding was planning it with Hitched AF.

Jen has a gift of making people feel confident, comfortable, and taken care of. She really listens and makes you feel so special, I can’t recommend Hitched AF enough!!!!!
Nick (my husband) and I describe ourselves as “inside dogs,” which is pretty weird for two Colorado transplants. We prefer our mountain views from the couch or hot tub.
I have a French bulldog named Stuart, and I have constant out-loud conversations with him in my very specific Stuart voice.
I always wanted to be a Radio City Rockette, but I’m 3 inches too short. Still strongly considering starting the “short rockettes” where no one over 5’5” is allowed.
I was the Founder and President of the nation-wide Facebook group, “I Wish Taco Bell Delivered.” And now I can have a Mexican pizza on my doorstep any time I want. If 2004 me could see me now!
I’ve unsuccessfully auditioned for 3 different reality TV shows. Today I feel very #blessed that none of the production teams cast me. So cringe.
If I was a cocktail, I’d be a Death in the Afternoon - a deliciously odd concoction of absinthe and champagne. It’s equal parts bitter and bubbly.
