A kitschy 1960s dinner party

If you've ever considered a theme wedding, let this be your sign to go for it. Jenna & Jordan came to Hitched AF because they know we love a bold theme, and their 1960s Dinner Party wedding was over-the-top in all the right ways. While the rainbow color scheme and kitschy decor had us swooning, it was this couple's super sweet, mushy-gushy love that made this a wedding we'll never forget.

Jenna & Jordan

Jenna & Jordan knew that their mutual love of all things mid-century and retro would serve as the inspiration for their wedding decor, they just weren't sure exactly what that would look like. Hitched AF worked with them from the very start, conceptualizing a specific theme & design, selecting a venue to serve as the perfect backdrop, thrifting and DIYing decor, and recruiting an expert team of vendors to pull off the rest. The result was a day filled with color, laughs, so much love, and the most epic dance party we've ever seen.

Full Service Planning

Jordan and his mom surprised the crowd when their classic mother-son dance turned into a flash mob to "Time Warp" from the Rocky Horror Picture Show. That kicked off the most enthusiastic and unwavering dance party we've ever seen with an expertly crafted soundtrack by DJ Aubrey of The Get Down.

KaraKara Blooms created bouquets and centerpieces inspired by mid-century wedding florals, as well as building a custom sunburst ceremony backdrop decked out with orange marigolds. She also created custom acrylic signage, including the cutest signature cocktail sign.

In order to stay on budget, we worked with an unconventional venue loaded with a hodge podge of vintage furniture. We used their mismatched chairs for charming ceremony seating, and then flipped the room so that every dinner table looked like it came out of a different 1960s dining room. We thrifted glassware, tablecloths, and kitschy salt & pepper shakers to complete the look.

Jenna & Jordan went all in on their theme, from their own attire and guest dress code to their music selections to the Disco Den where they got ready & spent their wedding night. We even created a custom wedding logo, inspired by 1960s sit-com intros, which they included on their invitations, wedding website, and menus.
